The Planned Parenthood Advocates of New York Scorecard compiles elected officials’ voting records on reproductive rights and health. The rating is based on voting record, statements and other public record.
Key to Ratings:
PRO - Pro-choice. The elected official's position on reproductive health is consistent with the mission of Planned Parenthood.
MIXED - The elected official supports restrictions on a woman's reproductive health options.
ANTI - Anti-choice. The elected official is opposed to a woman's right to choose and supports major restrictions on a woman's reproductive health options.
REFUSED - The candidate refused the Planned Parenthood Advocates of New York's efforts to obtain her/his position on issues of crucial importance to women and their families regarding reproductive health care and to Planned Parenthood.
UNKNOWN - The elected official has no voting record regarding reproductive rights and health.
