Planned Parenthood Helps Deliver Pro-Choice Victories

Albany, NY (November 5, 2008)—Planned Parenthood Advocates of New York (PPANY) is celebrating  the victories of endorsed pro-choice candidates, from Barack Obama and Joe Biden’s Presidential triumph, to Brian Foley and Joseph Addabbo’s State Senate wins.

“For the first time in eight years, America will have a pro-choice president. We have new leadership in the State Senate with demonstrated commitment to the health of New York’s women, teens and families. This is the time for progress on legislation that’s essential to all New Yorkers, such as affordable health care and common sense sex education. We finally have the chance to build New York State into what we have always believed it to be: a beacon for women’s health and reproductive freedom,” said Joan Malin, chair of Planned Parenthood Advocates of New York.”
